Now why don't they do this?

It would be so much easier! (It's a Pierce-Arrow; but I don't know which year.)

It's a 1933 Silver Arrow special. Only five were built. The radically streamlined bodywork was quite futuristic for its time.

As for the spare tire location, many cars of the 1920s and '30s had side-mount spares. The Silver Arrow just concealed them behind flush body panels.

An updated version of the Silver Arrow was designed by Chrysler stylist Virgil Exner for Renwal's Revival model kit series in the 1960s.

What a gorgeous car! As much I love the sleek designs of the "futuristic" cars from the 1950s and 1960s, I do indeed admire quality designs like this one.

Thanks for sharing these pictures, guys! Very Happy

This is a British automobile, a Bristol. They never made many cars, and they were all handmade and extremely expensive. I don't know the model or year. Imgur
