Add this stuff to the list of science innovations which would work perfectly with superheroes. Consider this excerpt from the article above.
_______________________________
Engineers have created a new material with an unusual chemical structure that makes it incredibly hard and yet elastic.
The material can withstand heavy impacts without deforming - even when pushed beyond its elastic limits, it doesn't fracture, instead retaining most of its original strength. That makes it potentially useful in a variety of applications from drill bits to body armor for soldiers to meteor-resistant casings for satellites.

And the other article says this.
_______________________________
Composite metal foams (CMFs) are tough enough to turn an armor-piercing bullet into dust on impact. Given that these foams are also lighter than metal plating, the material has obvious implications for creating new types of body and vehicle armor — and that's just the beginning of its potential uses.

Super-tough body armor that turns bullets to dust on impact and protects a Batmobile-type vehicle would be just the thing for a hardworking superhero. So, let's add this to the list I posted on this thread.
One spoonful could turn you into Aquaman! _________________ ____________
