I think that I was turned off by O.S. since a Science Fiction Lit course that I took made us read excerpts of one of his novels (they didn't come across properly, iirc). Anyway, I had it in my mind that I didn't like the man's writing.

However, I have to say that of my reading of the last year or so, Mr. Stapleton impresses me the most. 2 reviews by moi (intend to read more):
