Berger has her eye on a super-weapon with which she hopes to take over the world. The title refers to Robert Vaughn's double role; he plays dueling Solo's, one good, one bad.

Sharon Farrell's pleasing face is a plus for the likable cast. Directed by John Newland, the host and creator of TV's "One Step Beyond".

Another snazzy trailer for an U.N.C.L.E. movie, narrated by a very familiar voice I've heard in trailers for several other sci-fi films, like The Black Scorpion. He also did several voice-overs in that movie.

I wonder if there's a reasonably priced box set of all the U.N.C.L.E. movies. Might be a nice thing to have in my DVD racks!

Episode 8, "The Double Affair," is the first (and only) time that the name of a guest star (Senta Berger) appears in the credits before David McCallum's. The episode had additional scenes inserted and was distributed as a full length movie titled The Spy with my Face. "The Double Affair" was the best episode since the beginning of the series. UNCLE producers started to think big. The opening scene with little toy robots attacking Illya in front of Del Floria's became an icon of the genre, despite its naivety. The plot was the most interesting one until then and caused excitement among fans by showing a bad double of hero Napoleon Solo. It never looks like Vaughn is fighting with a stuntman. Both the episode and the motion picture benefited from the presence of Senta Berger, an international star of rare beauty. The "Austrian Alps THRUSH secret base" is in truth the Griffiths Observatory in Los Angeles.

Custer, your post confirms the impression I got from watching the trail: this U.N.C.L.E. adventure is a cut above the others, and it really gives Robert Vaughn a chance to show is acting range.

I hope I'll get to see it someday.

I discovered the French poster for the movie and I like it better than any of the others I've seen. I've noticed on several occasions that the European versions of movie posters are rendered by better artists than the American ones.
