One of my favorite ships from BG OS was the Eastern Alliance Stardestroyer. It had "hints" of Klingon in it.

Hart Blochner played the Nazi-like Commander. The ships interior was very U-boatlike too.

Thanks for these excellent photos.

Battlestar Galactica(original)was never a terribly well written series & suffered for it.
However, they did have some superb production values that remain impressive looking to this day.

Part of the problem with BSG, is that it was never intended to be a TV series, just TV movies. It was after the movies were finished that ABC decided it wanted BSG as a weekly series. They had a very short time to prepare, hire a writing staff, and write stories for a weekly TV series. A TV series demandes a much greater story background then a few TV movies. The writing staff was running at full speed just trying to keep up, much less get ahead.

It was getting better near the end, and would probably have been better in season two with more time to flesh out stories and characters.

David.

Minor correction. Commandant Leiter was played by Lloyd Bochner (born in 1924), rather than Hart Bochner (born in 1956). However, Hart is actually Lloyd's son — so you were actually pretty close! Very Happy

Lloyd was a prolific actor in Hollywood for decades, appearing in so many series that you couldn't hold an open TV Guide in one hand, close your eyes, and place your finger on any page without pointing to a series he'd been in at one time of another!

Try it! I dare ya! Shocked

Actually, it was Hart Bochner IV, Lloyd's Great-great-great grandson, born in 2054 who, while filming THE TIME TUNNEL AGAIN tripped and found himself in a side dimension where Earth was Terra, and true to the family tradition of playing bad guys....Well, you get the picture!

And if you use your 2054 smart phone to look up Hart Bochner IV and then hold it in one hand, close your eyes, and place your finger on the touch screen, you'll actually poke it right into his nose and bring back a booger from an alternate universe!

Try it! I dare ya! Shocked

Straitened? I think they make special jackets to handle that eventuality... though probably an image search for strait jackets wouldn't be a good idea! Surprised

Mr. Custer, I'm sorry. I'm slightly dyslexic and get confused when I type and get ahead of myself.

Hey, we all make little mistakes like that. Except Bud, of course. I don't know how we managed before computer spellcheckers came along - and if we get something slightly changed so that it becomes a different word that the spellcheck also knows, there's nothing to save us... Wink

Like when I was perusing a document for spelling errors, relying on the spellchecker for support... Instead of a "writhing tentacle" I ended up with a "writing tentacle". Rolling Eyes

The Eastern Alliance Destroyers cruised the skies eliminating anyone who opposed their natural order! Lloyd Bochner played Commandant Leiter in two episodes of the trilogy and even aided Baltar and the Borellian Nomen to escape from the Galactica! Although Baltar got recaptured before he could lift off it has to be said but I wonder what happened to the Nomen on an earth where a Nazi style government was in power? Would they have been executed after having their knowledge of superior technology pulled from their heads?
