Interesting plot development.
I'm sure that having a shape-shifter make herself look like your dead wife would about as "comforting" as sliding a knife back into a partially healed stab wound.
The grieving process requires letting go and moving on. I'm somewhat suspicious of McGivers' seemingly kind offer. She might be trying to impair the captain's emotional equilibrium and cloud his judgement for some nefarious purpose.
Or she's just horny. Flip a coin. _________________ ____________

McGiver's offer of comfort has severely backfired...

Amazing work, trekriffic!
I can't imagine how long it takes you to create each of these masterpieces. The selection of the images, the modifications you make to each one, and the composition of the narration and the dialogue . . .
All I can say is, no other message board on the web offers creativity like this to it's members.
We eagerly await the next installment. _________________ ____________

Wow, the dialog is well written, and your creative combination of characters in the jpegs is flawless and well composed.
The pictures do a fine job of matching up with the dialog and the story itself.
You've even mastered the tricky task of resizing the jpegs and placing the labels along the bottom — which might seem like a simple thing to folks who don't know how complex all that is during the composing and editing stage! _________________ ____________

In addition to the fact that the story is well written, I like the way you vary the font size to help the reader differentiate between the speakers!
And the artful way you select the placement of the dialog so that we see the most important elements of the image interwoven with the text is something any artist would notice and admire.
Touches like that enhance the reader's experience without our even realizing it! _________________ ____________
