Reported at Various sites.

Beverley Owen (née Ogg; May 13, 1937 – February 21, 2019) was an American television actress, best known for having played the original role of Marilyn Munster on sitcom The Munsters (CBS September 24, 1964 –May 12, 1966), before the role was taken over by Pat Priest.

Here's a clip from ending of the first unaired pilot, "My Fair Munster", with Beverly looking quite lovely. Very Happy

I found that Beverly left the show after the 13th episode because her fiance was in New York and she missed him so badly she often cried on the set. She begged the producers to release her from her contract, and they finally agreed.

The second and third clip below are about 2/3 of the unaired pilot (which was filmed again as S1 E2, in black and white), with Beverly as the daughter, but with Joan Marshall as the mother (whose name is Phoebe in this version), and some kid named Happy Derman as Eddie. Miss Marshall's makeup is less extreme than Yvonne De Carlo's. (She looks more like Morticia from "The Addams Family".)

Also, the title theme is completely different, and the opening credits are fairly long. Herman kissing his wife goodbye is funnier in this version. Very Happy
