Could you post pictures of your models with each other so I can get a better 'feel' for your excellent skills?

Sure. I have a few collections I photographed. Kinda quick and dirty so not the best shots but these are most of my 1/1000 scale Enterprises. I think I left out the ISS Enterprise.

Thanls! But where is the dreadnought? How does your model compare in size with the others? Have you made (or considered making) the other ships from the Star Fleet Technical Manual ?

Fantastic work. Way beyond my meager skills!

Funny. I never took a photo of the Enterprise, Romulan BOP, and Abaddon next to each other. I have them all in 1/1000 scale. I'll have to take a photo and post it for you.

The Klingon BOP is much larger being closer to 1/350 scale.

Please stand by.

BTW... I edited my earlier post, removing most of the photos. Don't want this turning into too much of a model thread; although, my models are in many of the images.

Summary of events depicted on page 11.
____________________________________

McGivers — the shape shifter, still disguised as Kirk — is beamed finds himself in complete darkness. He is contacted by the drone's AI computer, which is called Watson, just like the android first officer of the Abaddon.

Meanwhile aboard the Romulan spy ship, Kor (the Klingon working with Captain Tatenen of the Abaddon), discovers a lone occupant, an elderly Centurion who’s still under the influence of the sleep gas the ship was filled with earlier. The old man also seems to be blind, and Kor speculates that he fell and hit his head.

Unaware that Kor is a Klingon rather than a Romulan officer, the old man complies with Kor’s request for the code which will give the Klingon access to the ship’s controls.

Aboard the Enterprise, Scotty informs Captain Kirk that the ship's energizer is being overloaded by the strain from the impulse engines and the tractor beam, which is laboring to pull the Abaddon away from the asteroid after it was trapped by the neutronium core's gravity well.

Spock interrupts with good news; the Lexington has arrived to assist them.

On board the Abaddon, Captain Karis Tatenen is informed that his ship has managed to get clear of the plasma beam which threatened it after the photon torpedoes detonated inside the tunnel formed by the dreadnought's anti-proton beam. But the Abaddon still can’t pull free of the titanic gravity well.

First Officer Watson informs Captain Tatenen that sensor readings from the Enterprise indicate that it will have to shut down its tractor beam soon or loose impulse power and fall towards the gravity well.

Tatenen orders Watson to ready the ship’s torpedoes to implement his (as yet undisclosed) “Plan B”.

Captain Tatenen learns that the two Federation ships have teamed up to save the Abaddon. Tatenon cancels "Plan B".

On the Enterprise, Spock informs Captain Kirk that with the Lexington’s help they’ll be able to free the Abaddon without having to overload their energizer.

Prior to these events, the captain of the cloaked Romulan Bird-of-Prey is told that the Abaddon fired twelve photon torpedoes at the asteroid, but the Federation ship was caught in the gravity well and is now receiving help from two other Federation starships.

The captain orders his first officer to contact the other Romulan ship in the area, the Pi’R’Ath, and he sends a message to its captain that he is going to investigate the presence of these Federation starships assuming he no longer requires assistance.

________________

The captain of the IKS Korinar contacts the disabled Klingon transport, the IKS Chu'Tul, and informs them that he is on a mission to assist them in making repairs.

The view screen aboard the Korinar displays the bridge of the Chu'Tul and the two Klingon women who command the vessel, Lursa and B’Etor. They inform the captain that their warp drive has been repaired, but they too are caught in the gravity well of the asteroid (just like the Abaddon).

Krug informs the ladies that he’ll bring his ship near enough to tow them out with a tractor beam.

The Abaddon finally breaks free from the gravity well with the assistance of the Enterprise and the Lexington. Then Kirk calls Captain Tatenen and tells him to prepare to be boarded. (This is part of the plan which Kirk and Tatenen devised to trick the Romulans into thinking the Abaddon is going to destroy the colony ship, and that Kirk wants to prevent this.)

As part of their ruse, Tatenen orders his first officer to fire a 20% phaser blast at the Enterprise and then engage the Abaddon’s cloak.

________________

Meanwhile aboard the the Romulan spy ship, the Pi’R’Ath, the Klingon double-agent Kor has used the code he got from the old blind Romulan to activate the command console. He raises the scout's shields and activates the comm system. He immediately receives a message from the Gal Gath'Thong, requesting that the ship's captain (Commander Lukeen, who they don't know is actually a prisoner aboard the Abaddon) provide the current status of the ship.

Kor identifies himself as Second Lieutenant Decius, and he claims that Commander Lukeen has been killed. Kor states that the engines were disabled by two prisoners who were beamed aboard, Captain Kirk (who was actually the shape shifter, McGivers) and a Klingon (who is Kor himself).

The Gal Gath'Thong replies, informing Kor that they'll rendezvous with him in five minutes.

________________

Image below on the left: The Gal Gath'Thong arrives to assist the damaged scout ship (left-hand picture below) just as the photon torpedoes explode on the other side of the asteroid with the neutronium core (located 300,000 kilometers away). The Romulan ship's scanners seem to indicate that the Abaddon was engulfed in the explosion.

Commander Tal assumes that the plan which Commander Lukeen had suggested — the blaming of the transport's destruction on the Klingon-hating Captain Tatenen — will no longer be possible.

Image on the right: During this time, Commander Krug's ship (the Korinar) is desperately trying to tow the stricken Klingon transport ship out of the deadly gravity well created by the neutronium mass. But his Bird-of-Prey is much smaller, so it lacks the power to free the massive transport.

Sensor readings have made Commander Krug aware of the Romulan ships in the area, and he knows they will attack soon enough.

Aboard the Romulan Bird-of-Prey (the Gal Gath'Thong) the sensors show that the Klingon ship (the Korinar), is attempting to tow the colony ship out of the gravity well. But they also determine that the attempt cannot succeed, due to the size of the massive colony ship.

Commander Tal is please by this development, and he orders the loading of a nuclear missile, presumably to be used against the Klingon Bird-of-Prey.

Image on the right: At that same moment, the Enterprise pretends that the phaser blast from the Abaddon has disabled its engines, allowing the now-cloaked Abaddon to leave the Enterprise far behind. Captain Tatenen sends a deliberately bogus message to Kirk (on an unencrypted channel so the Romulans will overhear it), warning him not to attempt any interference with his plan to exact revenge on his personal enemy, the hated Klingons!

First picture below: As planned by Kirk and Tatenen, this ominous message is intercepted by the Romulans, who are shocked to learn that the Abaddon was not destroyed by the explosion on the neutronium asteroid. The cautious Romulan commander decides to observe the actions of the Abaddon while his ship remains cloaked.

While he ponders the possibility that the original plan to blame the Abaddon for the destruction of the Klingon colony ship might still succeed, he also gives a cryptic order — he wants the "plasma weapon" made ready for firing.

Aboard the Enterprise, Spock informs Kirk that they are currently hidden from the Romulan sensors, and Scotty tells the captain that the Enterprise's own cloaking device is now operational, and also that the ship can make warp 6 if required.

Aboard the Enterprise, Kirk and Spock discuss the puzzling fact that none of the Federation's surveys of this region detected the asteroid had a neutronium core. Spock proposes a complex theory which suggests that the increased gravity and magnetic fields exhibited by the asteroid's core is not a natural phenomenon, he tells Kirk about evidence he has uncovered indicating the Romulans may have done plasma weapon testing in the area, which may have caused the unnatural growth in the neutronium core's activity.

Trusting Spock's suspicions, Kirk orders Sulu to proceed at one-quarter impulse. He orders Chekov to notify him when the Lexington reaches the position of the drone which holds McGivers (the shape shifter).

During this time, Commander Krug has an important conference with Lursa and B’Etor, the commanders of the disabled Klingon colony ship. Krug assures the women that despite his ship's failure to pull them out of the gravity well there are Federation ships approaching which want to assist them.

But he warns them that Romlans are in the area, and they are the true enemies.

Four minutes earlier, the Lexington arrives at Tatenen's drone and gives the order to beam over the shape-shifting cyborg (McGivers) that Kirk told Captain Wesley would be inside. However, his ensigns says the drone only contains a tri-cobalt bomb capable of an extremely powerful yield. But since it shows no signs that it's about to detonate, Captain Wesley isn't overly concerned.

Because the cyborg shape shifter is not in the drone as Kirk said it would be, Captain Wesley wonders if perhaps Kirk misunderstood his instructions from Tatenen.

Suddenly a transmission from the drone is received. It's Watson, the semi-autonomous extension of the Abaddon's computer system. Watson explains that the cyborg which Captain Wesley was supposed to pick up was the shape shifter in the form of McGivers (formerly in the form of Kirk). Watson says that "she" requested to be beamed to another destination, but it doesn't say where it sent her.

Then the drone states that it's on an urgent mission of which it cannot reveal the details — afterwhich the drone streaks away at warp eight!

Captain Wesley gives the order to send Kirk a message to inform him that McGivers is alive, but her location is unknown, and the drone has a high yield weapon aboard. The Lexington then sets out in pursuit of the drone, which the sensors indicate has cloaked but is headed in the direction of Romulan space!

Aboard the Romulan spy ship, Kor has incapacitated the repair team sent from the Gal Gath'Thong to fix the engines (which he lied earlier about needing repairs). Kor lies to the captain again by claiming that after the repair team finished their work, they accidentally triggered a booby trap, a gas bomb that rendered them all unconscious.

Still pretending to be a Romulan second lieutenant named Decius, the crafty Klingon double agent tells the captain he is on the bridge and awaiting further orders. (Kor is trying to delay any actions the Gal Gath'Thong may be contemplating taking against the Klingon transport, The Chu'Tul, or the Korinar).

On board the Enterprise, Ensign Chekov informs Captain Kirk that he's detected tetryon particals which indicate the presence of two cloaked Romulan ships, both holding positions 250,000 kilometers from the Klingon colony ship.

Kirk orders Uhura to contact the Abaddon and report this new development.

________________

Left photo below: The Abaddon is orbiting the asteroid at the minimum safe distance to avoid being captured by its gravity.

The "Watson unit” (the AI computer) aboard the drone contacts the android Watson, the first officer aboard the Abaddon, to report the fact that McGivers, the shape shifter, was beamed off the drone (to a destination still not yet disclosed), and the drone is traveling at warp 8 with the Lexington in pursuit. ETA to the target is 3 hours.

Tatenen is concerned, because this is an unexpected development (although we don’t yet know the details). The captain decides to ask the drone to specify what its target is.

On the bridge of the Enterprise, the Lexington calls with an update: Yeoman McGivers was beamed off the drone to an unknown location. The Lexington is pursuing the drone, which holds a high yield explosive device capable of destroying a small moon.

Kirk has Uhura contact Captain Tatenen for an explanation regarding the weapon the drone is carrying. Tatenen ignores the question and instead asks Kirk to contact the Lexington again and tell them to stop the drone. He tells Kirk they can track the invisible drone by following its trail of Tetryon particles. Tatenen also says he needs to find McGivers.

Yes, I admit I’ve gotten sidetracked with the Batmobile but plan on getting back to TBOSP very soon.

Thanks for all your support, Bud.

Chomping at the bit to see more!

Haven't forgotten you...but I'm going to have to reacquaint myself with the story to see how it all goes!

________________________________

Trekriffic and I created a summary of the entire story to date and placed the first page (pages 1-10) at the link below, and the second part (page 11) just a few posts up on this page.

http://www.allsci-fi.com/viewtopic.php?t=4698&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=120

The summary is very detailed, so it isn't really a lot quicker to read it instead of the actual photo novel to refresh your memory.

But it does have an important advantage, simply because when I composed the summary, and when Trekriffic extensively revised and corrected it, we included "reminders" of who certain characters were and what events had preceded new developments.

In other words, it isn't just a summary, it includes explanations why things happened and the reasons they're important. And of course, the very fact that it's largely my own description of the story means you're getting two different descriptions of the events. So, if one description is puzzling, hopefully the other description clears things up. Very Happy

When I do the summary of the next section, Trekriffic will again provide me with copies of the jpegs he used without the text added, so I can place the thumbnail images to identify the sections each portion of the text refers to, the way I did in the summary of page 11 above.

I regret not thinking of that idea in the summary of pages 1 through 10, because it's a MUCH better way of doing it than the sub-headings I used in the first section of the summary.

OK. Finished another one yesterday. I'm up to 18 now Bud.
12 to go and that might wrap it up. Or I may just leave the ending ambiguous.

And,yes, the summaries are where muscle gets added to flesh and bone. I have used them quite a few times to refresh my memory of events.

It's like the appendices in the "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

Or so I would dream.

I'm am SO pleased to hear that you and the members are getting some good from the summaries. I love to write, and doing the summaries is very enjoyable.

We're all eager to have the next chapter. I hope you've remembered to save non-text copies of all the pictures you've used so I can make the helpful subheading thumbnails. Those are a MUCH better way to label each portion of the summary so that the members can match up the summary sections with your actual photonovel.
