About Today's Featured Threads

The Man from Planet X (1951) is a wacky little invasion movie, with a lone alien invader from an unknown “rogue” planet who lands in the foggy Scottish moors. The planet will zoom past Earth in a few days, and the spacecraft has come to guide the invasion force down. This is an enjoyable movie to debate, discuss, praise, and criticize! Very Happy

Five (1951) is a very different kind of “Armageddon” movie, with a modest budget, a cast of non-stars, a and story so believable that you forgive it’s flaws.

Prehistoric Women (1950) is made to look and sound like a 1950s high school science film, telling the students all about how people lived in the dawn of time, A frequent narrator’s comments are there to make sure we never forget that this just a movie, in case we find ourselves unconsciously following the simple plot . . . Rolling Eyes
