Yesterday’s salute to the fallen heroes of the military focused on NECs (non-human enemy combants). Today we’ll focus on another kind of NEC — alien invaders, also known as AECs.

The first example listed below pits the military against an advanced alien robot, and our troops were seriously outgunned!






In the second yarn, Earth is attacked by a strange invasion force composed of bizarre “drones” controlled by an unearthly “queen” who uses telepathy. This action-packed drama features enough firepower to satisfy even the most gung-ho fans of John Wayne!






In the final movie below, the invasion becomes a full-scale attack, with sonic weapons being fired from the alien's advanced spacecraft, destroying some of the most famous landmarks in Washington, D.C.

But our scientists team up with the military to develop a new weapon which brings the alien saucers crashing down . . . right into more of the landmarks.
