Them! (1954)

~ A Question for the Members: This wonderful movie ends with a perfect setup for a sequel!

The scientists and all the military heroes gaze down at the roasting ants (which all us kids who burned ants with magnifying glasses in the 1950s know what that smells like . . . ) while they voice their concerns about future consequences from atomic testing.

Destination Moon (1950)

~ A Question for the Members: Having proven that a flight to the Moon could be done using the comparatively simple technology that was shown in this movie, would the success of America to reach the Moon ignite a different kind of Space Race than the one we saw in the 1960s?

The Twonky (1953)

~ A Question for the Members: What would it be like to suddenly possess a device from the future which — like the smart phones and Alexis-like devices we now have — was not only designed to serve us in hundreds of way, it would also want to control our lives to make sure we only did what as "in our best interests".
