Two classics from the 1940s and a remake of a 1950s sci-fi that easily surpasses the low budget original. And it gives us a gorgeous flying saucer that's almost as beautiful as the C-57-D — because is a deliberately jazzed up version.

Sweet, eh? Cool

The Invisible Man Returns (1940)

Opening Statement: IMDB has several interesting trivia items for this production, Very Happy

~ There were communication problems during the shooting of the film. The German director spoke no English, so Vincent Price - being fluent in German - had to translate all the instructions to the other cast members.

The Lady and the Monster (1944)

Opening Statement: This 55 second excerpt demonstrates the quality of the laboratory set. Cool! Cool

Attack of the 50 Ft Woman (1993)

Opening Statement: I watched it again tonight while writing this posts, and I was impressed anew by certain elements which were patterned after the original . . . but improved! Shocked

For example, the dimwitted deputy in the original who was supposed to offer comic relief was replaced by a cute (but equally dimwitted) female deputy who is much more likable and nicer to look at!
