Alien immigrants arrive on Earth, astronauts encounter aliens on Mars, and Nicole Kidman battles body snatchers

These people are not have a good day!

Alien Nation (1988)

Opening Statement: ~ Sam Francisco (Mandy Patinkin) was originally going to be named George Jetson, but Hanna-Barbera wouldn't give the rights to the name. The decision to call his character "George" in the movie was kept as an in-joke to the George Jetson character name.

Note from me: I like Sam Francisco better

Ghost of Mars (2001)

Opening Statement: In a 2011 interview, John Carpenter stated he was intentionally trying to make Ghosts Of Mars as over-the-top and tongue-in-cheek as possible.

He claimed he was trying to make a mindless and silly, yet highly entertaining and thrilling, action flick where "the universe allows its characters and plot points to be silly without being full-fledged comedies", akin to 80's movies like Commando (1985), Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), and Predator (1987).

Looking back on the film and its criticism, he stated he was frustrated that most people thought the film was meant to be a serious horror movie, and feels that he should've made the film more openly comedic and "in on the joke", saying "...it's called Ghosts Of Mars for Christ's sake, why would people take this movie seriously?"

Note from me: I'm tempted to watch this movie and find out if "my correctly adjusted expectations" will allow me to enjoy it.

The Invasion (2007)

Opening Statement: ~ While filming at the Chilean Embassy in Washington, D.C., Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig were to drive a white SUV to the entrance, stop the car, and allow valets to park it.

Kidman forgot to place the SUV in park, and as she got out, it began to roll down the hill. Craig swooped in from the passenger side and dove at the SUV, hitting the parking brake, and stopping the disaster from proceeding. This happened during heavy rain effects.

Note from me: I wonder if they caught this on film!
