_______

With a title like this, male viewers invariably find themselves hoping the heroine will be a gorgeous blonde.

You're in luck, fellas -- Miss Vera Day fits the bill perfectly. If you like what you see, she also has a small part in "Enemy from Space".

_

This British sci-fi/horror is quirky enough to be amusing, so don't dismiss it entirely because of i's bad reviews. The story involves the obligatory mad doctor (George Coulouris) who acquires a carnivorous, tentacled, Amazonian plant which prefers an exclusive diet of le femme' fatales.

The doctor kidnaps young ladies of questionable virtue and shoves them into the groping tentacles of the killer vegetable. His reward for this wasteful behavior is a serum he extracts from the plant which enables him to revive the dead.

Director Charles Saunders knew he was just cranking out a Saturday Matinee monster movie, so he didn't make it morbid or depressing. Besides, who could take it seriously with a title like this?

And if you doubt that the special effects men were having fun on the set, just keep your eyes on those tentacles when the plant grapples with those lovely, squirming victims!

This is a rare case in which the poster shows something outrageous -- and the movie lives up to it!

Ow-la-la!

I thought it might be a porn film.

All her parts look just the right size to me!

The correct French is les femmes fatales. (Assuming we're talking about more than one woman.)

Carnivorous plants do seem to have an appetite for leggy blondes, don't they?

Good new, boys! Here's the lil' darlin', in the flesh — the whole blinkin' movie, and with a pretty good picture, too!

Have fun watching Miss Day and several other comely wenches go a few rounds with a carnivorous plant that likes to play with its food! Very Happy

What is that film where bikini models are eaten by a creature that looked like a fluffy couch? It was in b/w and made in the US and I saw it once in the eighties. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the female behinds twitching and kicking as they were sucked into the monster's body! I do remember a terrible sounding roaring that went with it though...

Not us gay male "viewers". Smile

Actually...some do!

A "blond" is male...."blonde" refers to a female.

Smoke and Mirrors by Mark D. Wolf.

---Meryl Streep would have found it challenging making this seem "real" because the plant monster is so obviously operated by people inside it.

Perhaps I shouldn't be too harsh, as there are reports that just before production commenced, a fire destroyed the original prop and the crew had to concoct what is seen on-screen in just a few days.

I've always thought The Woman Eater would make a great spoof! Picture this. Very Happy

The monster plant allegedly needs certain fluids from the female victims so it can produce a remarkable enzyme that the doctor can use to revive recently dead people.

The first female victim he kidnaps and throws into the clutches of the plant struggles in terror as the monster restrains her arms and legs and then proceeds to violate her body while it extracts the necessary bio-fluids.

But the poor lady's struggles gradually weaken as the plant withdraws the fluids — and then she suddenly convulses, as if in the throws of death! Shocked

However, moments later she revives, apparently unharmed . . . and in fact appearing quite relaxed and calm. In a dazed state, she stumbles out of the baseman lab, looking bewildered but oddly contented. Confused

The evil doctor kidnaps more victims, and they go through the same strange experience — terrified at first, then entering a trance-like state, and finally erupting into a spasm which is punctuated by moans and squeals.

Each of the poor female victims leave the lab in a semi-conscious state, needing assistance just to be escorted to the door.

A few days after the first victim left the lab, she actually returns and nervously asked the doctor if the plant needs feeding again!

Amazed by her behavior, the doctor admits that the plant is ready for more of the vital bio-fluids. The woman shyly requests to donate the fluids, so the doctor leads her to the plant and watches in amazement as the woman allows the monster's inhuman appendages to enfold her! Shocked

__________

The lovely young lady goes through all the same convulsions again! But after the strange ordeal she calmly leaves, walking in an unsteady fashion, her face a portrait of contentment.

When the doctor escorts her to the front door he's startled to find the three other women he'd kidnapped earlier — and they all want to donate their fluids to the hideous (but apparently not harmful) plant!

The doctor finally realizes just what vital bio-fluids were being extracting from these eager young ladies by the plant . . . as well as what highly pleasurable side-effect the extraction process has been causing!
Twisted Evil
