I wasn't just disappointed by Amazing Stories, I was appalled by how bad they were, week after week. Spielberg was the Golden Boy of Hollywood, and I couldn't figure how the guy who gave us Jaws and E.T. could inflict such drivel on the public.

But maybe there's talent out there today who are just itchin' to do now what nobody did back then. The public has come expect more from television series these days than they got from big budget movies thirty years ago.

Not that they always get it, of course . . . Sad
