I saw the movie and then when I heard that it was being made into a series thought uh oh.

First episode had some nudity and female upper parts (promising I thought, promising.........the last we ever saw of THOSE). First year had its ups and downs, but I thought it really worked out pretty well.

I only got tired of Richard Dean Anderson acting a dense and showing that he was obviously tired of the work in the later years.

Still, it had a good run, and some good stories.

Ben Browder and Claudia Black join the show in season 9-10.

That was all I needed to get me to watch it.

Sadly, the wonderful chemistry between Claudia and Ben in Farscape just never carried over onto SG-1.

True. Crichton and Aeryn are perhaps the best couple in SF.

Vala was more with Daniel Jackson, wasn't she? She's barely even in season 9, but Browder is in the whole thing. But I might be remembering wrong.

"Noetic Hatter"; I LIKE that moniker! (A sensible hatter instead of a mad one!)

I like the movie, but I never made a real effort to get into any of the TV series. Maybe I'll give them a shot one of these days.

Not a fan of the series, but if anyone else is a fan of audio drama, I just got this announcement from Big Finish:
