YouTube has a number of episodes from this great show, and the picture quality suggests that they're from the restored DVDs sold by Shout Factory.

From IMDB: A rescue mission is mounted to find the plane carrying a nuclear physicist to an atomic experiment.

Whoever wrote the plot description above must have watched the first ten minutes of the episode and given up.

A real summary of the plot would be more like this.

Paul Burch is the head of nuclear testing site, and he has to move a scheduled test up to avoid bad weather which is one the way. They contact the top scientist (DeForest Kelley) on the project at his home and inform him of the change in plans.

The scientist leaves in his private plane, but when radio contact is lost, an extensive search is conducted, but the only thing found was a portion of the tail section. No other wreckage is discovered.

A state-of-the-art supercomputer is programed to analyze all the conditions and determine the most likely place the missing scientist might have landed if he'd bailed out.

The computer's calculations prove correct! Dr. McCoy is rescued and returned home to his insanely hot wife, played by the luscious Susan Cummings, the lady who starred in To Serve Man — one of the few truly science fiction stories on The Twilight Zone. Rolling Eyes

This episode was also a "shout out" to the CAP (Civil Air Patrol) .

Yep, that's another aspect of this series that I really like; the way it praises our society and presents so many admirable qualities in the citizens who appear as characters.

This show, and other like it in the 1950s, were optimistic and uplifting.
