Robot Carnival is a Japanese anthology OVA released in 1987 and was one of my favorite films for several years.

The film is a collection of nine anime shorts by different well-known directors. Each segment has a distinctive art and animation style and concept ranging from comedic to dramatic. The short entitled "Cloud", is frankly one that can be skipped unless you need to nap.

The film's music was composed by Joe Hisaishi and Isaku Fujita and arranged by Joe Hisaishi, Isaku Fujita and Masahisa Takeichi.

There isn't much dialogue so there won't be too much in the area of subtitles Wink

Here is a link to "the tubes" for the original Japanese version (not the, frankly, butchered US version).
