Writer Tracy Torme (1959~2024) has sadly, and far too soon, passed away.

Tracy co-created the wonderful science fiction show Sliders with Robert K. Weiss. Tracy also wrote for SCTV, Saturday Night Live, The New Outer Limits, Odyssey 5, Carnivale, and the feature film Fire in the Sky that was based upon Travis Walton's UFO encounter.

Tracy was a fine writer whose work I have always enjoyed. He was the son of the terrific singer Mel Torme.

What a terrible shame. My wife and I chatted with him several years ago at a convention about how Sliders had gone off the rails after he left the show. He seemed like a nice guy.
