Not a topic on the "old" board (that I know of) but....

These were hot stuff when I was a young bumpkin.

I think that I read all of the T.S. Jr. novels. My aunt gave me a few of the original Tom Swift books and that was just sooo cool back then. Being naive, I thought that things were even that much cooler since Victor Appleton penned the originals and Victor Appleton II did the work on the "Jr" stories.

It wasn't until much later that I realized that these were just House Names for any number of authors. Luckily - by that time - I was emotionally equipped to deal with this news!! (wink, nod)

When I was a very young lad, I read every one of the Tom Swift Jr. books. It was very much later, when I was an adult, that I finally read several of the original Tom Swift books.
