Anderson, who was 95 at the time of his death was one of the Special/Visual FX giants in Hollywood.

Anderson & his company did the FX on the 1966-'69 Star Trek series.

Yes, his company was one of the most familiar credits at the end of TV shows and movies for decades. It seems like he didn't have much serious competition until Lucas' ILM came along. I always wondered if Anderson company shot the Star Trek models in a separate studio of their own or if they worked at Paramount. I'm sure somebody here knows.
