The Tomorrow War (2021)

Opening Statement: ~ J.K. Simmons' (66-years-old) much-talked-about 'buff old man' look in the movie, according to director Chris McKay, is actually based on Instagram pictures of Simmons that went viral in 2016 after his trainer Aaron V. Williamson posted them.

The series of gym shots showed Simmons with a huge shaggy white beard, wearing a sleeveless muscle-shirt, doing intense bicep curls with his biceps bulging out incredibly.

When it came to casting the role of the crazy but bad-ass father (of Chris Pratt) who is living off the grid, McKay said he immediately recalled the viral images, reached out to Simmons and asked him, "Hey, I don't know what shape you're in now. But if it's possible, I really want you to get to that jacked-up guy again and grow out your beard".

Simmons said of the 2016 pictures, "That blew up after it was posted on Instagram". He nevertheless accepted the role as he was attracted by the challenge of building that body again. In the final film, Simmons puts his muscular arms on full display first in a tight bicep-hugging t-shirt and later on in a sleeveless muscle-shirt that shows off his biceps even more prominently.

Note from me: What a pleasant surprise this item was! I had no idea that J. Jonah Jameson (J. K. Simons) was buff, cut, and sexy!
Shocked

Back to the Future trilogy

Opening Statement: Holy Mackerel! Shocked

It took me 36 years to realize the obvious, but I finally figured out what Robert Zemeckis cleverly covered up at the end of Back to the Future so that we got that uplifting (but illogical) conclusion!

What's always bothered me is the fact that after Marty returns to 1985 and wakes up to find his happy well-adjusted family, he acts like it's all a big surprise!

Well, of course it IS a big surprise . . . to THIS Marty McFly.

But it would be no surprise to the Marty McFly who was born to the new-improved George and Lorraine during their lives in the "new future" they received, thanks to Marty's efforts in the past to keep from "changing the time line".

He failed in that respect, of course. He did change the time line by making George a better person and making Biff . . . well, whatever he was in that final scene. Laughing

So, the Marty who left 1955 in the Delorean and went back to 1985 is a person who's entire life has been changed — including his "new birth" to George and Lorraine McFly! A SECOND Marty grew up with his improved parents, brother, and sister — not the losers we see near the beginning of the movie.

So, what should have happened at the end of Back to the Future? Well, guys, logic dictates that it would be one of these three fates for Marty.

Jurassic World (2015)

Opening Statement: Welcome back, Andrew! We've missed you these last four year! Very Happy

As for Jurassic World, the post by me which started this thread lays it on the line concerning my bad reaction to this movie, so I definitely agree with your low opinion. From the mercenary guy who thought he could make "velosi-soldiers", right down to the idiot park guests, this movie is packed with highly un-evolved beings.

I cringed the first time I saw all those screaming people run straight down the street when the pterosaurs swooped down on them — instead of RUNNING INTO THE BUILDINGS the way they would have if it had simply started raining, for God's sake!

In fact, the video below even includes a scene of people running OUT of a restaurant to join the morons in the street!
