Well, well, well. Randy's prediction that Supergirl wouldn't make it past 13 episodes wasn't quite correct.
The critics predictions that this series would be cancelled were wrong.
My own prediction that it would move to the CW and enjoy lots of great cross-over episodes with Flash, Arrow, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow . . . came true.
Yeah, me.

CW is promoting its acquisition of Supergirl loud & proud during Flash, Arrow, and DC Legends of Tomorrow. Obviously it will be great for the series to be "home and with the family", and I think the quality (and even the basic nature) of the show will change for the better.
Arrow can be very grim, and the plots are hellishly complex, switching back and forth between present-day Star City and flashbacks to that nasty old island, Isla Nublar. (No, wait . . . my bad, that was Jurassic Park ).
Flash has had it's share of rough moments, with that rat-fink Zoom killing people before breakfast, even on his better days.
* * * * * SPOILER * * * * *
And in the season finale of DC Legends of Tomorrow, the team pounded, kicked, and stabbed the villainous Vandal Savage to death in three separate locations in both time and space, simultaneously. Boy, was HE dead when they got through with him!
(But then again, you never know with these shows. )
I suspect the folks at CW will turn up the heat on Supergirl and dish out a bit more bad-ass to keep it interesting for the devoted audiences who love the other series, now that they've taken cute little Kara into the fold.
Enjoy the videos below, the first of which says basically everything I just said.

This is a fan-made promo that pitches the idea that Tom Welling should do a Superman series and join the other great DC superhero shows already in production. This one will leave you tingling all over.

Nice post.....you beat me to it
This might mean that in the season 1 finale, Superman was in the Krypton rocket. Possibly as a child.
Yes, I know it makes no sense, but we will find out in three months.
UPDATE: I was wrong

Great news!
Wow, if they could get Tom Welling, the ratings for Supergirl would go right through the roof — as in "up . . . up . . . and away!" Sadly, they've stated that this won't be happening.
But hopefully they'll do as good a job with Superman in this series as the producers have done with Flash, Arrow, and DC Legends of Tomorrow.
Looking forward to this series! ![Cool](images/smiles/icon_cool.gif) _________________ ____________

Holy mackerel, I thought this guy was Brett Dalton (Grant Ward, from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) when I first saw his picture!
I'm glad I was mistaken, because it's going to take me a while to adjust my thinking about Mr. Dalton after his superb performance as the creepy Hydra member and the even creepier alien parasite, Hive.
I'm really looking forward to season 2 Supergirl. _________________ ____________

Lynda Carter cast as the president on CW's 'Supergirl'
Brian Truitt, USA TODAY
Supergirl is electing a president of the United States who's quite the wonder woman.
Lynda Carter has been cast as the POTUS of the superhero show, which moves to The CW in the fall. Carter, 64, and comic-book TV series go way back: She most notably played the title role of Wonder Woman for three seasons in the 1970s.
A former Miss World America who's appeared in movies, shows and on stage, Carter will make her Supergirl debut on the third episode of the show's second season — beginning Oct. 10 — and is locked in for multiple episodes. Tyler Hoechlin is also guest-starring this season as Superman, the heroic cousin of Supergirl (Melissa Benoist).......
BDT: Bud & I are watching season 2 of Wonder Woman.
