Lousy remake of "Invasion of the Saucer-Men" -- which means it's about as lousy as they get.

The basic story is the same, but it omits the sly camp and good-natured humor, replacing it with gory scenes. Nor does it have the great bug-eyed Martians, substituting instead a group of cheap and ill-fitting costumes. Not recommended on any level. Starring John Ashley. Produced and directed by the infamous Larry Buchanan.

Even the poster is just a rip-off of the much better version done for The Crawling Eye

It IS a remake of "Invasion of the Saucer Men". In the 60s Larry Buchanan was hired by American International to do color remakes of of B&W movies in their catalog for TV. A.I. thought that they would have trouble syndicating the original B&W movies. So they hired L.B. to film color remakes on 16mm, with even lower budgets than the originals.

The funny thing, is that the B&W were much more popular than the color remakes.

David.
