This is the third version of Maurice Renard's famous story about a world-renowned pianist whose injured hands are surgically replaced with the hands of an executed murderer. Mel Ferrer plays the pianist, Donald Wolfit is the surgeon, Christopher Lee plays Nero (an evil magician). English and French language versions were filmed simultaneously.
Also starring Donald Pleasence and Dany Carrel. Directed by Edmond T. Greville, who co-authored the screenplay with John Baines.
[Also released as: "Hands of the Strangler"]
