___________

Poor-man's King Kong, made on a pauper's budget. An expedition sets out to find a legendary super-ape on a plateau populated by dinosaurs (not animated, unfortunately).

Poorly done in all respects.

Starring Kent Taylor ("The Day Mars Invaded Earth") and Scott Brady ("Destination Inner Space"). Directed by David L. Hewitt.

I apologize for not being able to find a trailer for The Mighty Gorga, but I did this little gem.

The Monsters Crash the Pajama Party!

Trust me. You'll love it.

"The Might Gorga"?

I suspect his "y" key is broken, Maurice.

Well, ya see, "part" is a part of "party" the same way "tops" are a part of "pajamas".

So, from a philosophic standpoint, the real question isn't "why" I left out "Y", it's actually Wayne's alternate take when he suggested that "how" I left out "Y" was simply by using a broken "Y" key on my keyboard!

But that ignores the evidence! If the "Y" key is broken, the last line in my post would have been —

"Trust me. ou'll love it."

On a related note, if I hadn't made that typo, this thread wouldn't have any replies since March! So, is it possible that I make typos on purpose . . . just to inspire activity on the board?

And the answer is . . . heck, "why" not! Very Happy

Let's keep the activity active, then.

It must, then, have some connection with striking the "Y" key with adequate force subsequent to the "T" key. Both errors had that in common (hint, hint).

Ah-ha. I now see the origin of the confusion.

Speaking philosophically again, "The Might Gorga . . . " phrase was a separate reference to esoteric issues involving questions of "why" and "why not" (similar to those I clearly explained in my last post).

In this case, we can't help but wonder if Gorga might do this, or he might do that. Since Gorga might be sentient (aka self aware), we can't be sure of his actions in tense situations.

And when a giant gorilla's actions are being questioned, the outcome can be the difference between life and death! Shocked

As for your theories concerning the "T" key and the "Y" key, I doubt their validity simply because I'm left-handed, and I type both letters with my left hand — which means I'm right-brained. Therefore I'm both intelligent and creative! Very Happy

This clearly proves that the error can't be my fault.

(Wait a minute . . . I just noticed that I do type the "Y" with my right hand!)

Okay, I was wrong. So SUE me! Rolling Eyes

IMDB only has 5 trivia items for this movie. Here’s a few of the ones I found the most interesting, in the blue text. Very Happy

~ All of the accessories and headdresses worn by the Witch Doctor and the Tribal Chief are authentic. They were from a real Headhunting Tribe from South America.

Note from me: This sounds a bit hard to believe. Just why did a low-budget movie go to the trouble to get that stuff from a tribe in the Amazon?

~ The film was produced, directed and written by David L. Hewitt, who also played the titular gorilla, albeit uncredited.

Note from me: Was there ever a filmmaker more dedicated to his work? Shocked

~ Actor Bruce Kimball has two roles in the film, first as a circus clown and later as the witch doctor.

Note from me: Imagine how good that looked on his resume! Very Happy

~ Location filming took place primarily in Bronson Canyon and Simi Valley in California. The film contains stock footage of wild animals, shown in the jungle scenes, while footage of a cave monster is taken from the film Goliath and the Dragon.

Note from me: This alone almost tempts me to watch this unique motion picture!
