Slick Hammer Studios remake of "The Man in Half-Moon Street".
Anton Diffring plays a sculptor who, despite being one hundred years old, looks young because of periodic gland transplants that require victim-donors.
He develops a fascination for pretty Hazel Court ("Devil Girl from Mars") and forces her boyfriend, a doctor (Christopher Lee), to assist him in his gruesome rejuvenation process.
Directed by Hammer veteran Terence Fisher from a script by the prolific Jimmy Sangster. _________________ ____________

I was dozing off while watching this, so I may have missed it. Was there an explanation given for the bust sculptures? _________________ ...or not...

Saw the trailer to this one at another movie when I was just a kid.
Thought it was terrifying at the time.
Years later I tried to recall the title of the film but never could.
Hunted for it on my pc but to no avail.
Only recently discovered it! Felt like I solved a big mystery in my life. |

You got me, pal. I've never seen it.
I wrote that review (and many of the 688 I composed just for fun back in the 1990s) based on info from several reference books. Over time I've added all 688 to All Sci-Fi — rewriting each one a little or a lot, depending on what they needed.
I looked for a download of this one, but it doesn't seem to be available. _________________ ____________

Ah-ha. Silly me, I somehow thought you'd rented it to give it another try after the time you dozed off. _________________ ____________
