Senta Berger's sultry beauty is the only plus for this less-than-hysterical comedy about seven excitable cavemen who discover a cavewoman with a tail that serves the same purpose as the metal flag on a mailbox: whenever it's up it means "come and get it".

Some reviewers described the plot as a comic version of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", but the similarity is pretty thin. Directed by Pasquale Festa Campanile.

You're dredging up my almost forgotten drive-in memories. I think this was the first R-rated movie I ever saw. I probably could have made a better choice, but Ms. Berger looked good.

This is the one I went to in the days of my youth. Both the youth and the drive-in are long gone, of course.

The one below, however is still alive and well in West Virginia, and before each show they play custom made CD's I created for them with oldies rock 'n roll and me acting like the DJ while I promote the tasty food at the snack bar. Very Happy

I made the CDs while my daughter's family lived up there, just because I too have fond drive-in memories and wanted to help them give their patrons a good show each night.

I didn't know these folks, I just asked them to pose for a picture because they looked like the perfect family to illustrate a fun night at a drive-in. Very Happy

What? No playground equipment down in front of the screen for the kids?

I love those drive-in outdoor light fixtures like in your first pic there. That's a great drive-in sign, too. The signs and screen fronts at drive-ins are a too little appreciated aspect of architectural culture, I think. I recall in Ft. Worth at one drive in the front sign was the back of the screen and it had a huge painting of a bison on it, as I recall.

It's nice to see someone's carrying on the drive-in tradition, still. It's purely for fun, of course, nowadays. I couldn't think of any around here, but you inspired me to look it up and it seems there's a three screen one in northeast Ft. Worth called The Coyote. They even show double features. I might have to check it out. I doubt if they're showing anything of the caliber of "When Women Had Tails", though. Wink

I suspect you haven't seen our Drive-in photo gallery. You'll love it. Click and enjoy.

The Starlight Drive-in in Atlanta is still alive and well -- in fact, it started out as the Starlight Twin in 1948 and expanded to the Starlight Six in 1986. I have fond memories of it when I was a teenager, and more fond memories with my own kids in the the 1980s.

That's why I featured it in chapter 19 of my novel, The Hero Experience, complete with this illustration I added to that chapter just yesterday.

You should read it. You'd like it. But start with chapter one or you won't fully appreciate the story. Very Happy

Click and enjoy!
