As a sci-fi comedy, this one is lacking both science and comedy, but the cast has plenty of all-too-familiar faces.
During the 1960's American-International studios was cranking out "Beach Party" movies like a factory, with occasional non-beach films starring the same "beach" cast.
In this one, Frankie Avalon plays Sgt. Deadhead, who accidentally goes into space with a chimp. When they return, Frankie acts like the chimp and the chimp acts like Frankie.
The Air Force covers up this embarrassing situation by getting a look-alike to impersonate Sgt. Deadhead (Frankie in a dual role). Sgt. Donovan (the look-alike) starts to enjoy the impersonation when he meets Deadhead's fiance', Deborah Walley.
The rest of the frantic cast includes John Ashley, Eve Arden (who sings a humorous song!), Fred Clark, Gale Gordon, Buster Keaton, Harvey Lambeck, and Cesar Romero. Directed by Norman Taurog. _________________ ____________

A Youtube contributor named Salli Sachse create this clip compilation, and it made me keenly aware of two things about this movie I didn't know.
First, that it's a mucical / comedy / science fiction film (a rare bird indeed), and second that it's knee-deep in young girls who deliver some fairly funny (sexy) jokes.
Oddly enough, not a single scene with Frankie Avalon is included!
Watch it you'll see what I mean.

"Jolly good show" indeed. I can see why YouTube suggests I continue with trailers for "How to Stuff a Wild Bikini" and "Dr Goldfoot and his Bikini Machine"... |

Exactly! Once a person gets a taste of culture and fine art, he just can't get enough of the stuff! _________________ ____________
