Of the movies I've seen:
SOLARIS: Didn't like the 2002 version. The original is interesting enough to keep me watching but it isn't compelling.
SERENITY: I didn't like the movie or the series. I just don't buy into dusty boots and 6 shooters in space.
THE ASTRONAUT FARMER: Too much farmer; not enough astronaut.
THE FOUNTAIN: I'm one of dozen people who love this movie. It requires multiple viewings. Nothing makes sense if you watch it just once. I was compelled to watch it multiple times because it stars Rachel Weisz or, as I usually call her: "the future Mrs. Brent Gair".
SUNSHINE: Very good movie...could've been great but just fell short.
MOON: Good enough. Better than most modern sci-fi.
I haven't seen the other movies. |

Wow, I don't know what to make of these recommendations. I've seen five of the movies named. Of those, I liked Titan A.E. (a little), Moon, and Serenity.
But I disliked Solaris (both versions), and Another Earth (intensely).
Haven't seen the rest. _________________ ____________
