Sounds like a silly premise & more dumbing down of Star Trek like JJ Abrams has done with the movie reboots.

Concerning the original Star Trek Animated series, I don't want to sound like a snob, but when you're an amateur artist like me and you can do stuff like this just for fun —

Yes, I know . . . back in the 70s they couldn't do Disney quality animation for a weekly TV series. But knowing the unfortunate limitations imposed on the artwork just doesn't make it better artwork. We can forgive it . . . but that doesn't mean we like it any better. Sad
