This movie doesn't have the easiest plot to follow, and I'm not sure the basic premise holds water.

The story involves so many layers of consciousness and the dreams that go on inside each one, it made me wonder if I was some kind of simpleton. I'm pretty sure I'm a half-dozen levels of consciousness short.

I certainly have no complaint with the special effects, though. They were spectacular, and they had just the right nightmarish quality, despite their ultra-real look.

If you accept the somewhat overdone aspect of the premise and the complexity of the plot, it certainly won't bore you.

I found this movie captivating, mainly because of the complexity. It had a flavor much like Mission Impossible (the original TV series), but on steroids. I've watched it several times, each time coming away with a little better understanding of the story. That, in turn, encourages me to watch it again in hopes of catching some details I missed before. I give it high marks for originality and the guts to tackle a complex subject. It's encouraging to know that there are some decision makers in Hollywood that still give the rest of us credit for a little intelligence.

"It's more than a movie; it's an experience!"

I found the need for inception annoying because there were easier ways for them to fulfill their task.

I seem to remember doing the same thing with this one that I did with Limitless and Interstellar — I watched each movie twice in two days because I knew I hadn't gotten the major share of the plot details straight the first time.

I think I'll put Inception on my Netflix list.
