Thanks, Wayne.
Scot was right when he said that The Argonauts' Quest for the Golden Fleece was unwieldy, especially for folks iike us who know the title needs to pronounced all together, with no pause.
But when I first made the poster (without the apostrophe), I wanted to indicate that it was a two-part title which had a dramatic pause in the middle. The larger font for the first part indicates that it is the "actual title", and the second part tells us what the story is about.
The line between the two phrases are like elipses.
So, it should be pronounced like this.
The Argonauts . . . Quest for the Golden Fleece
However, based on the fine recommendations from both you and Scot, I now realize the best way to announce that this is a sequel to Jason and Argoauts would be this way!
My GOD, I wish they'd made this movie back in the 1960s! _________________ ____________

Of course, it could also be done this way.

I suppose, but I resisted the urge to simply call it Jason and the Argonauts II because this is an imaginary movie from the 1960s, and adding II's to sequels was something Hollywood started much later.
Besides that, I didn't want to put a Roman numeral after the title of a movie about Greek mythology. It might start an international incident! _________________ ____________

DYK? : Lawrence Naismith who plays Argos, the designer of Jason's legendary vessel, was associated with another legendary ship?
He played Captain Edward John Smith of the Titanic, in the 1958 movie A Night to Remember, based upon the famous book by Walter Lord. The movie is an almost documentary-style telling of the tragic sinking of the ocean liner in 1912. It's the best film about the Titanic because it strives for accuracy without schmaltzy love stories. |

I got to see JatA on the big screen when it was re-released in 1978 (and the only Harryhausen film I ever saw in the theater). It was one of the best cinematic experiences I ever had. _________________ "Have you never wondered what it would be like to walk between the ticks and tocks of Time?" |
