For the new Cartoon Network series Justice League Action, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will provide the voices of Batman and The Joker, something they"ve been doing on and off since the 1992 episodes of Batman: The Animated Series.

Conroy and Hamill voiced the same roles in last year's Batman: Arkham Knight video game and will voice them again in the fast-approaching straight-to-Blu-ray adaptation of Alan Moore's The Killing Joke.

Though Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger may be more identified with the role, Hamill has likely played The Joker in more screen projects than any other actor alive. Hamill voiced the Clown Prince of Crime in the 1993 motion picture Mask of the Phantasm in the 1994 videogame The Adventures of Batman & Robin, in three 1997 episodes of Superman: The Animated Series, in five episodes of "The New Batman Adventures" (1997 - 1999), in 2000's Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, in several 2002 episodes of Static Shock, in two 2002 episodes of The WB's live-action Birds of Prey series, in six episodes of Justice League (2002-2006) and in array of video games far too numerous to mention.

Sadly, James Woods replaces Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor. Booster Gold, voiced by Tom Everett Scott in eight episodes of Batman: The Brave and the Bold (CN 2008 - 2011), will now be played by Diedrich Bader (who played Batman in all 65 episodes of Batman: The Brave and the Bold).

No premiere date has been for Justice League Action, which will feature an "always rotating team" and be comprised of a so-far unspecified number of 11-minute episodes.

Mark Hamill certainly does a great Joker for those animated adventures - and of course he has played another similar DC villain, the Trickster, in Flash on television - both in the 1990 series, and the present-day one! Very Happy

Mark as The Trickster in Justice League Unlimited (CN 2004 - 2006):

Mark as the The Trickster and John Wesley Shipp [Barry's dad in the current series] as The Flash (CBS 1990 - 1991):
