Cut scene the C-57-D just leaving the Altair system:

Well, sort of.

It's a cropped portion of the "fly-by" shot of the ship which occurs just after the "eclipse" scene, when it's headed towards Altaira 4.

The second image below is a composite I made of that fly-by. Notice that the middle C-57-D is close to being the same as the one which Eadie (or more likely Butch, posting in her name) misidentified as a "cut scene". Rolling Eyes

True , Bud. Here's a blow-up of that pic.

Thanks, Gord.

I talked with other members on the phone today who totally agree with me that Miss Eadie's integrity and credibility has been badly damaged by the obvious fact that Robert (Butch) Day has been logging on in his goddaughter's name and posting messages that don't conform to the high standards of Eadie's comments! Sad

Just for the record, Butch has been posting bogus comments on our board for the last decade! And I've done everything I could to stop him. I feel sorry for his goddaughter, Eadie, for the way Butch has damaged her reputation on All Sci-Fi! Shocked

All I can say, folks, is that if you see a post by Eadie and it seems intelligent . . . then it's really her. Very Happy

But if you see a post under her name and it's as ridiculous as the one above about not being able to see the outside plants while the shutters are closed . . . then it's obviously by Butch! Rolling Eyes

Having said that, please be kind to Miss Eadie's. She's obviously dealing with a difficult family situation. Very Happy

Might I suggest she just change her password and not have her system remember it so it won't auto-fill?

That's exactly what I meant: the "approach" to Altair IV.

My mistake. I thought that this — "Isn't that just a frame from the opening approach scene?" — meant the first scene in the movie after the title work, "the opening approach scene" when the ship comes toward the camera.

Sorry about that. Embarassed

Unfortunately, Eadie must be aware that Butch is posting under her name, because she would see the posts she hadn't written herself. Over the years I've sent her PMs asking here to please not let Butch have her password. But she apparently doesn't mind sharing her login info with her godfather, Butch.

She's a sweet young lady and she loves Butch. I certainly don't fault her for that. Very Happy

We all hope Eadie will understand that we'd rather the posts under her name not be written by somebody else. She's an honored member of All Sci-Fi, and her contributions to the board are invaluable! Cool

Great work, Bob! A noble effort! You nailed clue #17!

Congratulations! Very Happy

However, Clue #18 says, "Find a main character who appears to be trying pull down a tree!"

HINT: The "main character" is human, and she only "appears to be trying to pull to pull down a tree!" (Oops, I gave away a hint about the gender. Darn. Wink)

And finally, clue #19 says to "find a robot who’s emulating Clark Kent".

HINT: It is NOT Robby! Trust me, when you find the right image, it will be painfully obvious. Very Happy

Totally Unfair! My VERY handsome MAIN character WAS in fact actually trying to pull down a tree in the movie, not just posing for a publicity shot! As one of the movie’s main characters he/id/it was also very successful at doing so. Razz

Double double unfair! Robby “the ROBOT” isn’t even Robby wearing a Clark Kent getup. I want to participate, but only if you guys don’t look outside the movie’s purview of Forbidden Planet. Razz

Neither one. It's a creation of the Krell machine, not a living thing. Very Happy

Clue #22

~ Find Robby with the perfect “arm candy” — who looks somewhat related to him.
