This version of the iconic doctor with the evil alter-ego, was produced by England's prolific horror movie company Hammer Films.

I found it interesting to watch, because they take a different tack to the famous character created by Robert Louis Stevenson. In this film, Dr. Jekyll is a conservative and rather subdued individual. He wears a beard, has bushy eyebrows, longish hair. After drinking his incredible elixir, Mr. Hyde appears and is clean shaven, handsome, lighter and shorter hair with a different style. He's confident and charming.

So instead of taking the usual route of previous films and television broadcasts, here, we have a Mr. Hyde who is not monstrous in his appearance in any way. He's James Bond!

The same actor portrays both roles, which isn't unusual in films or television. However, Hammer originally wanted to have two different actors, one playing Jekyll and another playing Hyde. They changed their minds and went with the one actor playing both parts.
