There's nothing like a nice educational video with pretty girls in bathing suits. Wink

* Actually there are no girls in the video. Sad

Hey, have you guys notice that several of the science articles Pye-rate has posted actually deal with scientific breakthroughs that sound a lot like the backstories for superhero characters? The one above is obvious, but consider these other examples.

An invincible suit of armor and an impregnable exterior on the official HeroMobile that's much tougher than Turtle Wax?? would be nice, so our superhero could use the amazing material described as New Metallic Glass. It turns bullets to dust on impact!

And we have Carbyne — the world's strongest material. It's a man-made substance that could be also used for everything from superhero costumes to Iron Man suits.

In addition to being tough, our superhero's car can also be invisible, as described in Transparent Cars That Let You See Through Metal, with cameras and video screens on the exterior. Those are definitely suitable for superheroes and secret agents — which is why Bond had one in Die Another Day.

The Rocket-powered bicycle that hit 207 mph is a superhero's snazzy mode of transportation if ever I've seen one.

VetiGell (the stuff that seals wounds in seconds) from the thread called New gel can stop wounds from bleeding is just the thing a crime fighter needs to have in his utility belt.

The Gecko-inspired Spider-Man sticky pads on the gloves that allow people to climb walls is another obvious example of superhero technology.

The article called This Tiny Sculpture Is Perched Atop A Human Hair proves that the technology used by Atom from DC Legends of Tomorrow is on the way.

One article remind me of Limitless and the genius-making drug, NZT. It was called RNA molecule works as a brain booster.

Superheroes need defensive abilities too, and we saw an article called Boeing patents 'Star Wars'-style force fields. That would a handy thing to have as part of your Iron Man suit, eh?

And remember the thread called Scientists inject human eyes with night vision? An X-Men ability, plain and simple.

Finally, there's the article entitled World-first artificial enzymes, which said that 3D printing of artificial organs might someday give people superhuman abilities — and it even used the X-Men as examples!

Ladies and gentlemen, we're living in an age when the stuff of comic books has become the stuff of science journals! Shocked
