This less-than-impressive movie has a small science fiction element, but it promptly forgets it and becomes s schmaltzy romance.
What's the sci-fi element? A amazing new train that's designed to be a high-speed "hotel" on rails, which travels 150 mph, non-stop from New York to Los Angeles in just 20 hours!
Cool, huh?
Sadly, right after the characters board the train in New York —
— and the train leaves the station —
— and we get just one shot of it heading for LA.
There are a few shots of the men in the "cockpit" of this hi-tech locomotive . . . but for some stupid reason the rear screen footage we see through the forward windows was NOT shot looking forward! The camera was angled well to the right, so the train looks like it's racing along sideways!
The romantic plot has comedy elements, but the jokes are mildly amusing at best. Anyway, since YouTube has it, I figured I'd add it to All Sci-Fi.
