I learned about this unsold pilot when I posted the YouTube video for The Man With the Power, another unsold pilot. Here's what IMDB says about Northstar.

The YouTube video below is from someone's video tape, and the commercials were cleanly omitted during the recording — something I became quite adapt at in the days of VCR's. I owned the first model of the Sony Betamax that went on sale. Very Happy

What do you use it for, Butch? Videotapes look like crap compared to any of the modern HD video formats!

I have several high-end VHS recorders I still use, including the Mitsubishi HS-HD2000U, which is a VCR that records digital video like a DVD!.

But I only use it to make audio tapes in CD quality stereo on six hour tapes, recorded from Sirius XM channels. (Actually, I've never recorded any digital videos on it . . . )

Your poor old Betamax tapes only last two hours, the picture quality is terrible, and the audio is analog monaural. Sad

So . . . what good is your poor Betamax, old friend! Very Happy

Mostly nostalgia. And a lot of stuff I taped back in the 1950s directly off my Big Ugly Dish (12 foot) TV steerable antenna of programs from Japan and Russia, Today I use it as a UFO Halloween and Christmas decoration. Halloween; Neighbor's artificial pond in background:

Pye-Rate made the detachable bottom half and legs.

Set up-right for Christmas 2017:
