Bud, you might want to add a parenthetical to effect that Star Pilot is the title of the 1977 American version of the 1966 2+5: Missione Hydra, made in Italy. The original film is 2:06 long, but it appears Monarch Releasing Corporation butchered the movie down to a ~91 minute cut for US theatrical release, which means a full quarter of the movie's runtime was amputated. Looks like you found an English dub at the original runtime, though.

I'm not sure which version I watched, but I don't think cutting it down would have helped anything. Ugh.

Actually, the length of the one I posted is only 1:26:28, and the credits do state that it's a "Monarch Release Feature Presentation". Sad

Actually, the sets and FX are not entirely terrible, but I don't know anything about the story.

One very nice scene in the movie is at the 46:00 mark, when the extremely hot Earth woman "floats up to the ceiling" when the aliens unbuckle her seat belt in zero gravity, and her flapping skirt flies up to show her stocking clad legs! Twisted Evil

I think the round area "above her" is actually a trampoline (note the wrinkles in the first image), and she falls "up" to it, then she rolls around on the "ceiling" while begging the aliens to get her back "down"

I think I'll add this little item to IMDB's trivia section for this movie. Check it in a day or so to find out if it was approved. Mr. Green

Oh, I misread that on the video as 126 minutes, 1 hour and 26 minutes (86 minutes).

I have a confession. I was on the verge of hitting submit on my posts above when suddely I realize I, too, thought the video I posted was the long version! Embarassed

I quickly fixed my post!

So, don't feel like the Lone Ranger! Me make same mistake you do, Ke-mo sah-bee!

By the way, I just checked, and IMDB's trivia section has added my comment about the lady with the stockings who falls "up" to the ceiling.
Cool
