"Annedroids" which ran for four seasons from April 19, 2013 ~ March 03,2017 on Amazon's Video Net was an entertaining and informative kid's show.

The format was a half-hour and totaled 52 episode.

Premise} 11-year old Anne Sagan (Addison Holley) lives in a junkyard with her widowed father. Anne is a brilliant budding scientist who has created androids out of the various materials found in the junkyard scrap.

Hand: First, strongest, and largest of Anne's androids. Hand does any heavy lifting required, has an array of power tools built into it, can do welding & reach very high up.

Eyes: Comes with a camera, telescope, microscope and binoculars, 4-arms, and moves via a single wheel. All the lenses are connected to an advanced analyzer. Eyes films all of Anne's experiments.

Pal: A friendly humanoid android that is smart and sophisticated and fast and agile. Pal has the capability of speech, unlike Hand and Eyes, and is always asking questions in order to understand the world around it.

Fangs: A guard dog that behaves like a real dog. It has an expandable body, metal spikes. and a stink spray.

Anne leads a fulfilling existence creating her "friends" and performing experiments. However, she has grown up all alone with the exception of her father.

In the debut episode, two local kids who live across the street from the mysterious junkyard that is closed notice strange sights and sounds coming from the place. The junkyard is surrounded by a high wall so no one can see into it.

Nick Clegg (Jadiel Dowlin) who lives with his divorced journalist mom, and Shania (Adrianna Di Liello) who lives with her grandmother and 2 younger brothers are friends.

Together they decide to investigate the strange junkyard and eventually meet Anne. They discover a wall of the junkyard which has a secret passage inside. The three kids become fast friends with Nick and Shania helping Anne with scientific experiments and inventions.

The show's aim was to educate children about science, technology, engineering, and math. It did that very well, but never at the expense of having fun stories and characterization along the way.

The young cast is wonderful and the visuals for the androids is top notch cgi.

The series was filmed in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

Good Lord, I LOVE this premise! Very Happy

A young genius who lives in a giant junkyard and uses this treasure trove of parts and materials to create homemade technological wonders!

That is brilliant! Cool

And the show is designed to educate kids about science and the fantastic possibilities of the future!

That is inspirational! Very Happy

I'm a huge fan of the series called Junkyard Wars (aka Scrapheap Challenge), and that was the first thing I thought of when I started reading your post.

Thanks for making us aware of this amazing series!

Although "Annedroids" shot its last episode not that many years ago, I'd love to see either a reboot, or a TV-movie with the original cast.

The actors are now in their late teens or early twenties, so you could see the scripting address Anne & her gang from that angle instead of as youngsters.

The new show or TV-movie could tell stories about where the characters are now in their lives, have they stayed close or drifted away from each other, has Pal evolved anymore?

What's going on with all the Annedroids? Has Anne created any new ones at all?

Does society know all about these machines and how does that impact Anne?

Is the government interested in the droids? How about corporations? If so, for what purposes?

The story could also be a high adventure tale with Anne & her friends & droids on some kind of rescue mission, or a mission of some great discovery.

Anyways, it would be a lot of fun to see them all again.

I haven't watched these yet, but Gord is right, YouTube does seem to have many (if not all) of the 53 episodes.

I watched a little of a clip on IMDB and the series seems to be imaginative and lively.
