Everybody knows what the Founding Fathers did on July 4th — they sent a Dear John letter to King George to tell him America wasn’t going to be his bitch anymore.

For all his faults, George was a snappy dresser who wasn’t afraid to wear ermine, and he obviously knew how important it was to accessorize well.

But what did the Founding Fathers do on July 3rd? History doesn’t record the details of what they all did on that day . . . but that doesn’t have to be true of us, 244 years from now.

Fortunately, we can leave a legacy for later generations in the form of posts right here on All Sci-Fi — which I’m sure will still be around in 244 years, since this board has survived more assassination attempts than most South American presidents! Shocked

If you’d like to leave a message for future generations to guide them through this new millennium —

— this button will suggest a good place to start.
