A story told about a Western mining town that's not located out West, if located straight UP — on a moon of Jupiter.

A safari into Darkest Africa to find a diamond being guarded by killer gorillas.

And . . . most amazing of all . . . an infestation of blood thirsty, carnivorous rodents in the Southwest that threatened to wipe out an entire town!

Just when you thought is was safe to trust the Easter Bunny . . . Shocked

Outland (1981)

Opening Statement: IMDB has several interesting trivia items for this production.

~ One of the few movies to be released theatrically with the "Megasound" sound system format. Megasound was a movie theater sound system created by "Warner Brothers" in the early 1980s. Selected soundtrack events with lots of low-frequency content (thuds, crashes, explosions, et cetera) were directed to these speakers at very high volume, creating a visceral effect intended to thrill the audience.

Congo (1995)

Opening Statement: IMDB has several interesting trivia items for this production. Very Happy

~ Ernie Hudson stated that playing the character "Captain Munroe Kelly" is his personal favorite from his career.

Note from me: I'm surprised. I love Ernie's performance in this movie, but I thought he'd pick Ghostbusters

Night of the Lepus (1972)

Opening Statement: IMDB has several interesting trivia items for this production. Very Happy

~ Janet Leigh declined to allow her two teenage daughters, Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis, to appear in the movie in minor roles, as she did not want them to be part of, or see, a horror film. Ironically, Jamie Lee later broke out as a "scream queen".
