Sulu: “Captain, first we’ve been ordered to visit the Gorn’s home world and establish diplomatic relations. The video of your battle with the Gorn has gone viral on the Gorn planet, and you’ve become very popular there — so you’re the perfect diplomat.”

“Next we’re to go to the planet Ardana to moderate a dispute. For decades the people of Stratos have dumped their sewage from the cloud city to the ground below and letting the poor Trogs clean up the mess. But the Trogs have been transporting it to an area about 20 miles away and using it as fertilizer for a giant farming region. When the people of Stratos found this out, they demanded that the Trogs pay them to collect the sewage!”

“Finally we’re to go to Starbase 221 to pick up the kids that were mislead by that weird alien who looked a Christmas tree in that sparkly outfit he wore. The children are going to Earth to star in a new comedy series called The Belli Bunch, about a widowed lawyer who marries a single mother, and together the couple is raising the children from their previous marriages.”

Kirk: “Hmmm . . . that sounds familiar. Oh well, take us out of orbit, Mr. Sulu, warp factor one.”

Opening Statement: ~ William Shatner currently suffers from tinnitus due to an improperly timed special effects explosion on the set of this episode. Both Leonard Nimoy and DeForest Kelley reportedly suffered from tinnitus as well during the remainder of their lives.

Tinnitus is when you experience ringing or other noises in one or both of your ears. The noise you hear when you have tinnitus isn't caused by an external sound, and other people usually can't hear it. Tinnitus is a common problem. It affects about 15% to 20% of people, and is especially common in older adults.

Opening Statement: ~ It is somewhat interesting that Jeff Corey was cast as Plasus, the leader of the privileged people on Stratos. For a number of years he had been blacklisted from working for being a Communist.

Note from me: The trials that Washington held to root out those "dangerous communist" were disgraceful. They ruined lot of lives.
