In the mood to comment on an unmade Willis O'Brien project? We've got one you'll love.

How 'bout a warmhearted comedy from the 1950s. If so, we've got the perfect movie — Scout's honor! Very Happy

Then again, if a series about temporal incursions by a faulty time machine is your cup 'a tea, look no further!

War Eagles (1938-1939)

Ray's producer, Charles Schneer, managed to get the three different original scripts from the old MGM library. But after reading the scripts, MGM informed Charles & Ray they thought the idea was old-fashioned and so the project was dropped.

My first thought is this.

I'm sure the clueless suits at Paramount had the same boneheaded reaction when Stephen Speilberg pitched his idea for a movie about a globe-trotting archeologist who battles Nazis that wanted to use the Arc of the Covenant to get God's help in winning World War II!

"Good Lord, Steve! That's too old fashioned!".
Rolling Eyes

Mr. Scoutmaster (1953)

Opening Statement: Eager to see this great movie again after enjoying it on NBC's Saturday Night at the Movies back in October 1962, I ordered it today from Fox Cinema Classics!

Guys, I really love having a well-stocked library of DVDs which I can pick from whenever I'm in the mood for a specific movie. Some folks feel that this a huge waste of money when there are now so many downloads and streaming movies available!

I completely disagree.

When I'm in the mood for a specific movie — or even a certain KIND of movie — I love being able to survey my DVD rakes, pull out one that catches my eye, take it out of the box, stick it into my LG Blu-ray player, and decide whether to watch the movie itself or the special features first!

The Time Tunnel (ABC 1966 - 1967)

Opening Statement: First of all, Pow, I re-read all your well-written descriptions above about the proposed 2nd unmade season's episodes, and I enjoyed them tremendously! Frankly, many of them are brilliant — even a few of the ones you felt were less worthy.

For example, the one about the Yeti being fugitives from a frigid planet suffering from global warming is terrific! It explains all the mysterious concerning how the Yetis have survived and remained hidden for decades. I love it!
