The series first started out in 1973 and ran until 1979, a British production whose premise remains essentially the same in this first revival and in the second one in 2013. The story centers on young people from around the world who experience dramatic changes at puberty which give them special powers.

Here's how IMDB describes the 1992 revival, which aired 25 half-hour episodes during its three-year run.

The Tomorrow People are the next stage of human evolution. They can teleport, communicate by telepathy, heal with the power of thought and they are unable to kill or harm any living creature.

Aided by a mysterious and ancient spacecraft buried in the sand of a Pacific island, the Tomorrow People use their powers to protect the world, while trying to keep their own existence a secret for fear of exploitation
