The Swarm premiered on September 12 at 9:00 pm on the CW network.

The show is about the struggle of humankind against an unknown swarm of intelligence that lives in the depths of the ocean. Adapted from the novel of the same name by Frank Schatzing.

It is a German co-production and stars an international cast. Filming is in Italy & Belgium; It is the most expensive German television production of all time.

I'm only one episode into this intriguing series. It has an air of mystery and some marvelous CGI visual FX. Don't know any of the cast but they all do a decent job. If you're looking for a new sf tv series, you might want to give this one a look see. Especially since we have scant tv shows to watch this fall, due to the Hollywood WGA strike which halted new tv productions which have to commence shooting in early June for September/October premieres.
