That certainly adds a bit more lustre, as the picture was a bit muted before your work. I managed to decrease the "pixelation" a bit by the simple method of reducing its size from 3291 x 2631 pixels, which was a bit extreme. And it does have the advantage of showing the lady in her costume for the show...and she even kindly added her autograph for us... |

Glad you liked it!
I had fun boosting the sharpness a bit, reducing the grain to make her skin look smoother, ramping up the color to give her face a rosy glow, and giving her lips an extra boost to make them look more red and kissable!

BG Trivia } Creator/writer/producer Glen Larson came up with an idea he called ''Adam's Ark'' back in the late 60s & early 70s. The premise involved humans fleeing the Earth due to a great danger. However, they are tricked into going.
This concept would evolve into BG.
Author Erich Von Daniken's book Chariots Of The Gods influenced GL's ideas for BG.
Potential titles for BG were: Star World, Galactica : Star Worlds, The Saga of the BG.
ABC would give BG a lavish budget for its production.
The enormous BG Bridge set cost $850,000 with $23,000 allocated for television monitors.
The Imperious Leader headpiece & costume design would cost $50,000. However, GL was not satisfied with the design & ordered that the IL be kept in the shadows for filming.
The BG pilot,''Saga Of The Star World'' probably cost around $14,000,000 to make. That was a huge price tag for a TV pilot for 1978.
Each episode is believed to have been budgeted at $1,000,000. Unheard of at that time for a single episode for a television series.
BG was going to be a special event miniseries originally. ABC changed its mind after seeing the production & how impressive it looked. ABC then ordered GL to bring BG to TV as a weekly show.
This would cause many problems & challenges for the BG crew.
Director George Lucas/20th Century Fox sued Universal Television/BG for infringing on Star Wars & as unfair competition. |

___________ A tribute to Anne Lockhart as Sheba

A little YouTube compilation of Anne Lockhart in BSG scenes, though I'd have preferred music from the show to the track the compiler used. Interesting to watch the facial expressions without being distracted by the actual dialogue, anyway! |

I loved this show even before I got to see it back in 1980 here in the UK! I got the Starlog magazine with the complete episode guide and really enjoyed reading it so that by the time it arrived here, I knew which shows were coming and what they were all about! Sort of liked the sequel show, Galactica 80, but not as much except for a couple of episodes! Hated the new version I can happily say!

JB, I'll find that Starlog article and post it on this thread the way I've done with some many others recently.
You wouldn't happen to know the issue number, would you? That's all I'll need to find it. _________________ ____________

Of course the pages were in yellow inside the magazine, Bud! Does anyone have the Starlog Star Trek and Space 1999 episode guides and perhaps Logan's Run and Fantastic journey as well?

Starlog's 1, 2 and 3 were the Trek and 1999 guides but I'm not sure about the Logan issue, Bud!

Dirk Benedict should cut a deal with Starbucks to plug their coffee. A little CGI and Photoshop work would do the job.
Heck, I made this picture using Paint.net! Suddenly I'm dying for a cup of coffee.

Healthier than the cigar, certainly. But the reboot of BSG had a Starbuck too - here she is now, inspecting the troops...

What was in Starbuck's hand originally, Bud? A cigar I'm guessing...
