Consider the ff. tips:

Get Xtreme Download Manager:

https://xtremedownloadmanager.com/

It's old but can still capture many streaming videos. It's also open-source so it should be safe to use:

https://github.com/subhra74/xdm

Add the add-on or extension for it to Chrome or Firefox.

When you play the video in the browser, you can click on the addon icon to see if it's detecting the video. From there, choose and download what you like. It can even get high-quality videos (1080p or better).

You can experiment with the newer version if you like but it's still being developed.

To get videos that XDM can't try Jdownloader. Make sure that you get the ads-free installer:

https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=54725

That can download videos that XDM can't, like those in ok.ru. You need to copy and paste the URL of the page playing the video, and it will be able to detect the video to download.

Jdownloader can also get batches of videos from user channels in Youtube and Dailymotion as well as playlists. It can also get any subtitles. You can configure it to get only what you want, such as the highest-quality video and subtitles in English.

To find videos in Google, enter the title (preferably in quotation marks) followed by the year in parentheses. Then click on the video tab right below the Google search box, then the tools link on the right, then set duration to the highest. That way, any clips or trailers will not be included. You can also set "any quality" to high quality, and videos at 720p or better will show up. (Those are the ones that look good on large-screen TVs.)

Videos from ok.ru no longer show up in Google. That means you need to go to ok.ru, and it will require you to sign up. If you don't want to give your mobile phone number and have a throwaway Google account (something you created that doesn't contain personal info about you), you can use that to sign up for ok.ru. Look at the bar below the sign up option to see your choices.
