Imagine an an advanced civilization on Venus.

Or rather . . . under it! Confused

The Venusians actually caused the global warming on Venus thousands of years ago, and as the planet got progressively hotter they frantically created underground cities far below the surface to protect them from the rising heat.

During the first century the cities were built in whatever natural caverns the Venusians could find.

But as the centuries rolled by the Venusians developed technology that allowed them to excavate caverns so large they had their own clouds and weather.

The irony of this is that once they had established their beautiful underground cities, they were trapped there by the hellish heat on the surface. Even though their technology progressed to the point where they could build sophisticated spacecraft, all efforts to launch them up through the atmosphere proved disastrous.

If they rose quickly, friction was added to the atmosphere's heat. If they rose slowly, the increased exposure time damaged the spacecraft before they reached space.

Even the upper portions of the tunnels they built to the surface were so hot, construction crews perished the closer they got to ground level! Shocked

On the plus side, boring down into the planet provided the Venusians with a treasure trove of metals and minerals! Their entire civilization was one gigantic mine! Very Happy

And here's a choice bit of irony, too. The intense heat near the surface provided limitless geothermal energy. On Earth we have to drill down to take advantage of that. On Venus . . . they drilled up! Cool

But eventually the Venusians developed highly advanced robots which were made of an incredible metal which could withstand the heat and complete the tunnels to the surface. The tunnels were lined with this metal, too. And spacecraft made of this metal could survive the passage through the scalding atmosphere.

And that's another bit of irony; their spaceships didn't have to survive the heat of reentry . . . they had to survive the heat of departure.

And so at last, the Venusians had a way to leave their inhospitable world and invade that lush, green planet just 26 million miles away — Earth! Shocked

So, what comes next, guys! ?

Do the Venusians conquer Earth? Do we drive them off somehow? Does a secret coalition of peaceful aliens from our sister planet work covertly to avert war?

How damn, what a great concept! But don't let ME have all the fun. Mr. Green

I remember reading about the lifetime of the sun, about how it's currently a pre-teen, how it will become orange, and then red as it matures, and then go in reverse as it grows older.

Maybe at some point the level of heat from it was so that Venus was probably like Earth, and the Earth was like Mars. Maybe as the sun matures the Earth will become like Venus, and Mars will become the new Earth.

And then it will go in reverse as the sun cools down.

Ralfy, you are officially All Sci-Fi's Genius of the Day! Very Happy

I NEVER would have thought of that brilliant idea, and it fits right in with the stuff I pitched in the post above. It also fits in with another concept I've described which I called The Four Worlds of the Solar System.

That idea suggests that Venus, Mars, Ganymede, and Titan all have advanced civilizations which hide their existence from mankind . . . because we're considered dangerous!

They do this by skillfully blocking all the data transmitted to us from our space telescopes and planetary probes, and they're substituting fake data that has convinced us all of those planets and moons are dead worlds.

Bear in mind that we're totally dependent on the transmitted data from space telescopes and probes when we form our beliefs about what the planets and moons look like.

So, if those images are being blocked, and fake data streams are replacing them with GGI images without our knowing it, we've got a completely fictitious idea about what Venus, Mars, Ganymede, and Titan are really like! Shocked

In other words, this is a simple optical image of Mars from a ground-based telescope —

— but this is the bogus image of Mars which they've substituted for the ones sent back by our space probes.

What Mars really looks like is this! Shocked

And the images from the Martian rovers which show the desolate landscapes are bogus CGI images too —

— because here's what really exists on the surface!

The Four Worlds of the Solar System are strong allies who work together to keep mankind ignorant of the fact that we're the least technologically developed civilization and the least intelligent of all the species!

But they're hoping we'll mature in a few thousand years and join their peaceful coalition. Very Happy

This explains all the legitimate UFO sightings. The Four Worlds coalition is keep a close eye on us. Very Happy

I love the idea that Earth is surrounded by planets with highly advanced civilizations . . . and we don't even know it! Cool

What a marvelous concept you've come up with here, Bruce. Planets civilizations hiding out right under our nose in our solar system.

"My name is Gary Seven. I am a human being of the Twentieth Century. I have been living on another planet, far more advanced that the Earth is. I was beaming from there when you intercepted me."

"Where is their planet?" Captain Kirk said.

"They wish their existence kept secret. In fact, it will remain unknown even in your time."

"It's impossible to hide a whole planet," Scott said.

"Impossible to you; not to them," Seven replied.

Thanks for the kind words, Mike!

The beauty of the concept is that it's impossible to disprove. I challenge the members of All Sci-Fi to suggest a single sure-fire method to verify that the data we think we're getting from our probes and space-based telescopes is not being replaced by bogus data from the aliens.

Think of this way; If I'd never revealed in any way on All Sci-Fi that I was Bruce Cook, and if the only means you had of contacting me was this email address —

Budbrewster58@gmail.com

— how would know that my real name was Bruce Cook? Shocked

I believe it was Larry Niven who described this same dilemma with this question.

"I claim that there's a three-layered chocolate cake in orbit around Jupiter. Prove me wrong." Very Happy
